Jade had no trouble rescheduling her appointments, and in two weeks they flew to Florida to meet the ship. The flight was on schedule, and they arrived at the dock of the Ecstasy with time to spare. "This is beautiful!" Jade beamed, gazing up at the towering cruise ship. She'd never been on a cruise, and intended to make the most of this one.
They boarded and were shown to their stateroom. It was a decent-sized room with the features Bobby requested--a huge bed and private balcony.
"Holy crap!" she squealed, bouncing on the bed when they were alone again.
He grinned and shoved their luggage into the corner. "It's not the biggest room, but it's what we could afford. I hope it's big enough for you."
"Wow, incredible, baby!" She went to the balcony and threw open the doors. "I can't believe you arranged for this."
"I want our week to be perfect. I've done everything I could think of to ensure that."
Jade closed the doors and faced him. Clucking a finger under his chin, she replied, "This is perfect. Believe me. Better yet, let me find a way to express my gratitude. Once we get going, I'm going to thank you so hard..." She trailed off, dropping her hand to his crotch and squeezing.
"Looking forward to that." He squirmed with pleasure, cupped her ass, and planted a firm kiss on her mouth.
They left their stateroom holding hands, wandering the ship until it was time to shove off. Once they were en route, they strolled back to their stateroom.
Several passengers strolled by, nodding or murmuring, "Hello," as they went. Turning into their hallway, Jade stepped into the tallest man she'd ever seen face-to-face. Face to chest, she corrected her thought, glancing at his tall, muscular frame. He was bald as a cue ball, with skin the color of dark chocolate. His eyes were an even deeper shade of brown, and they pierced her. Jade giggled nervously. "Excuse me."
"No, I'm sorry." His voice was deep and smooth. When he smiled, his teeth shone pearly white. "I almost ran you over. Excited to get on deck, I guess. This is my first cruise."
"Ours, too," she answered, returning his smile. She glanced at the door behind him and said, "Looks like we're neighbors. We're in 212."
He looked at his door, 214, and nodded. "Looks like it. Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Quentin Brooks." He extended his hand and Jade shook it.
"Jade Jernigan. This is my guy, Bobby Wyatt."
"Hey, Bobby," the large black man offered his hand, and Bobby shook with him.
"Pleased to meet you." He leaned over to Jade and said affably, "You'd never make a living off him!"
Quentin raised his eyebrows and Jade chuckled. "I'm a hair stylist." To Bobby she said, "You might be surprised, babe. Some guys have to shave to keep their head smooth."
With a booming laugh, the tall man added, "Some guys learn how to do it themselves, rather than pay to have it done. Although I must say, having it done by a beautiful woman such as yourself would be quite pleasurable."
Bobby grinned. "Are we still talking about shaving?"
They all laughed, and he pressed a hand to the small of Jade's back. "It was nice to meet you, man. I'm sure we'll see you again."
"Yeah, you too." Quentin stepped out of their way, and they entered their stateroom.
"Bye," she looked back at him, and Bobby closed the door.
"Now," he rubbed his hands together. "You said something about an official 'thank you'?"
